Police Seek Public's Help In Natick Hit-And-Run Investigation

NATICK, MA — Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of a serious Aug. 18 hit-and-run in Natick that left a local couple seriously injured, and are now seeking tips from the public. In a joint statement Thursday, Natick police and the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said that the driver of the pickup truck involved in the hit-and-run may have had contact with other drivers on Aug. 18. The driver may have also been seen in Sherborn and Holliston before the hit-and-run. "During the subsequent investigation police learned that the driver of the vehicle may have been seen or been in contact with the operators of other vehicles including a tan or brown sport utility vehicle and a black sedan that were also travelling in the area of Washington Avenue prior to the crash," the statement said. "Police are seeking to speak to these individuals." Kimberly Gunner, 51, and Andy Colbert, 39, were walking along the sidewalk when the pickup jumped the curb and hit them. Gunner was impaled by a fence, and the driver backed over her before speeding away from the scene. She remained hospitalized as of Thursday morning, but Colbert was released from the hospital on Aug. 19. Police located the pickup truck the day after the incident, but have not yet made any arrests.
