Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and painting. General knowledge of power tools. Wood floor maintenance and installation of floor tiles. Assists other maintenance staff with repairs to locks, plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, minor carpentry work, etc. Reports major repairs to supervisor for correction. Job Tasks/Duties Coordinates the servicing and repairing of systems for lighting, heating, ventilating, fire, drainage, plumbing, electrical, painting and related maintenance activities. Oversees the operation of the swimming pools chemicals and mechanicals. Monitors all work done by outside contractors and communicates the status of each project to the General Manager. Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records of equipment and machinery. Visually inspects public spaces and back of the house areas to replace lamps, switches, etc. Ensures that all building maintenance, repair and cleaning activities are identified, scheduled and completed. Maintains the clubhouse ground and assists in shoveling snow from walkways, when necessary. Keeps the work shop areas safe, clean and well-lit. Ensures that all refuse is properly removed from the clubhouse and its premises. Attends staff meetings. Responds to emergencies at any time. Issues supplies and equipment to employees. Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies. Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by installing decorations and constructing display pieces and moving furniture. Orders parts for repair work. Interprets blueprints as necessary. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Club’s Management. Physical Requirement and Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, pulling, repetitive motions and continuous walking. Carry out or coordinate all clubhouse repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, swimming pools, furniture, masonry and building structures to maintain the club property in optimal condition and appearance.
