My husband out of city anyone around? Drummer, Bass, Guitar, and keys with practice space looking for a front person with originals. We are a ready to play band looking for someone who has written songs, and has the desire to form an original group, but doesn't have the band members to do it. We are ready to plug and play and turn your songs or ideas into a fleshed out original project. Keys and Bass can also sing. If you have an arsenal of ideas or songs, and are ready to hear what they can turn into, we are the right group for youNew project forming and we're looking for a second guitar player and bass player. We've got a few songs written in the vain of Fuzz, Meatbodies, Ty Segall, Osees, etc. It's super fuzz heavy uptempo bar chords, easy stuff. What is this obsession with Southern Rock? I mean, how many extended length guitar solos played by guys in Confederate Flag T-shirts can we have?? Way more great rock music came out of the North. Major platinum selling, stadium filling Artists like Dave Grohl, Steve Miller, Glenn Frye, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, John Cougar Mellencamp, Jack White, Axl Rose, Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders), Ted Nugent, etc...all hail from Michigan, or one of the other Great Lake States. Bands like Chicago, Cheap Trick, REO, Styx, Smashing Pumpkins, Devo, The BoDeans, Violent Femmes, The Knack, The Romantics, Alice Cooper, Grand Funk, Iggy and the Stooges, etc...all from the same region. And thats just the Rock Radio artists. It would take another post to list all of the great Funk, Soul, and Motown artists that are from Chicago, Detroit, and Ohio. Enough of the Southern Rock! 3 chords and a 5 minute guitar solo gets pretty boring after about the third song. Would anyone be interested in putting together a NORTHERN ROCK BAND? Featuring popular songs from the artists and bands listed above? Heck, half of the population down here is from UP NORTH. I bet a good band covering Seger, Mellencamp, Grand Funk, Cheap Trick, Nugent, Cooper, Devo, Steve Miller, Kid Rock, etc...would go over huge! Whether you’re looking for an experienced guitarist to fill a spot in your band, or if you’re just looking to jam I’d like to see who’s out there. I’ve played in bands (some regional touring/success) ranging from hard rock to a variety of metal sub genres. I’m open to new things, but I’m not a strong country, or “tech metal” guitar player. I can improv little 2 bar diddly-do’s or wiggity-wah’s, but I’m most comfortable as a rhythm player, or a lead with time to prep. thanks
