Stamford Coronavirus Updates: City Has 3,052 Confirmed Cases

STAMFORD, CT — City officials announced Tuesday evening there have been 3,052 confirmed cases and 76 probable cases of the coronavirus in Stamford as of June 2, according to state Department of Public Health. While number is up from the 3,046 confirmed cases of the virus, also referred to as COVID-19, reported by the state a day prior, city officials also noted the department "has been reviewing its data and removing cases identified as duplicates, which may result in a decrease of overall cases." In the city's daily "COVID-19 situation newsletter," officials also noted the state's interactive dashboard that tracks cases and deaths across the entire state indicates Stamford has had "187 reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 cases" as of June 2. Stamford officials also said the city's Board of Representatives will hold a special budget meeting on Tuesday, June 2, at 8 p.m. Residents can attend via Zoom or phone.
