Hippy Rockers Only

Description

Assembling hippy-blues-rock 4-5 piece band in / around Pensacola + Mobile. Need drummer, bass, and at least one other guitar player besides myself. Looking to build a band that can play Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, The Band, Dylan, Black Crowes, Government Mule, Widespread, etc. but also bluesy garage rock like Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr, North Mississippi Allstars, Low Cut Connie. Goal is to jam, gig, and write some originals. I play rhythm + lead electric guitar and sing with a classic rock style. I’m good with lead vocals but would prefer players that can provide a little vocal backup on choruses. All good if you also want to sing some lead as well. As the 2nd guitar player, you’ll need to have the ability to handle a lead guitar role, although ideally we’ll swap back and forth on riffs to create some dynamics. Bass and drummer need to be creative and dedicated. I’m imagining a band that can play outdoor and indoor gigs and not require a lot of room or elaborate stage affair. Would love to eventually be booking and developing our own events, and even down to play on generators at outdoor gatherings should the opportunity arise. I did say hippy, remember? I am NOT interested in slow ballads NOR ANY acoustic guitar music. Danceable vibes only. I have a perfect practice space in Mobile, but I'm open to practicing wherever the drummer can play loud. If you appreciate the music I listed above, then I don’t care about your age. I’m 40, if it matters. If you are a modern hippy-jam-rocker who can play, let's talk.
