I am rehoming my male, approximately 1 year old, hedgehog. He’s a BIG boy. And, a great eater. However, I have developed pretty significant allergies to him and they are worsening despite trying multiple treatments. While I would love to keep him, it is not fair for him that I am unable to engage with him as much as I’d like to. As such, he is definitely huffy and will take some time to get used to regular handling again. I purchased him from an out of state pet store last September when he was just a baby. I think that puts us at around a year old. He is used to being on fleece bedding and has been eating Rachael Ray Nutrish cat foot as he rejected everything else I’ve given him. I am willing to send him to his new home with a full bag of food. Unfortunately, his enclosure has seen better days so I’d recommend someone purchasing or having their own. He has done fine in a huge tote with wire top as well as in a wire cage. I’ve never gotten him used to using a wheel as he was disinterested at first. But, he does love foraging for meal worms in dig boxes. He also likes mint stick cat toys. If interested, please contact me via text at . He is a loved pet and I love him enough to ensure he has a home where he can get the socialization he needs. Sadly, my allergies are just too persistent for me to handle him much. That does not mean I do not care about him, however. I am asking $75 for him and prefer cash or Venmo. I will entertain reasonable offers, but these are animals that do require lots of care so I want to ensure he is going to the right home.
