Job Description: Looking for experienced Cutting Torch (oxygen/propane) Operators We are a scrap metal company, in the Portland Metro area, in need of experienced torch-cutters/burners of heavy metals and misc. scrap material. -We offer a steady, local, full time job. -Applicant should be able to work safe, smart, and efficient in the scrap yard. Safety is our number one priority -Able to work with others. We work as a team and communication is key. -The job location is in the scrap yard, so you will be outside during most of your shift. -We provide all PPE (safety gear). ALL safety rules MUST BE FOLLOWED including maintaining your equipment. -Forklift certified / experience is a plus, but not required -Knowledge of different metals such as the differences between sheet metal/tin, iron, and bonus metal is preferred -Knowledge of non-ferrous metals is preferred CURRENT CUTTING TORCH EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! Job Type: Full-time Experience: -Using a cutting torch to burn/cut heavy steel: 2 years (Required) Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Language: English (Required) Job Type: Full-time Wage Rate Range: $17-$25+ per hour dependent upon skills/knowledge
