We're adding another full time, highly skilled HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR to work with other operators & skilled site laborers for multiple work tasks: replacing underground utilities, digging for fill, construction foundations & piles, regrading adjacent local streets. Check us out at manhattanbuildingcompany.com & hudsonhouselofts.com RESPONSIBILITIES • Safely operate equipment for construction foundations, underground utilities, grade stakes for elevations, digging for fill, roadway regrading, water & sewer line tie-ins, PVC and ductile iron pipes, trenching, shoring & gen'l sitework. • Already uses or quickly learn surveying equipment such as lasers & site levels. • Willing & able to install and get into trenches with skilled laborers for hands-on work, give direction & assistance. REQUIREMENTS • 5 to 10+ years’ on excavators, rubber tire backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, cats, etc. • Live in, or reasonable commute to Jersey City NJ for early morning start time. • Insured car / truck for commute; valid NJ drivers license; S.S. card; US citizen or proof of US work status. • OSHA certification; CDL license & other heavy equipment training/certifications are big 'pluses'. • English required: Bilingual English/Spanish a big plus. • References to confirm past employment experience.
