The City of Miami Presents.... Return of the Goombay Festival. 2022. Live performances, Junkanoo, Food/Retail vendors and a Kids area. Its been quite sometime since Goombay has taken place so we are looking to make a statement with it's return. Come join us at Elizabeth Virrick Park (3255 Plaza Street, 33133) located in Coconut Grove which is the home of some of the first Bahamian Settlers. Our Queen for this year's Goombay is non other than our very own Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. Saturday's headliner is Mr. Julien Believe with a performance by the Melodic Vibrations Band and Sunday's headliner is DJ Selector Chronic with more entertainers to be announced for both days. Junkanoo performances throughout both Saturday and Sunday. Food and Retail vendors with authentic Bahamian cuisine. Learn how Goombay got its start and also learn the history of Coconut Grove.
