On Friday, May 20, 2022, pick up your order at Smokey Diva’s located at 239 Onota St, Pittsfield between, 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.Pickup is drive-thru style, so remain in your vehicle, and PEF volunteers will bring your order to your car door. PEF formed in 2017 by supporters of the Pittsfield Public Schools (PPS) to improve educational outcomes for students and enriching opportunities for educators. The Foundation’s dedicated all-volunteer board works to generate funds for interventions for at-risk learners, enrichment for the whole child, and enhanced professional development for teachers: bridging the gap in services that are beyond the capacity of the school district’s limited budget. PEF raises funds primarily through sponsorships and participation with our annual fundraising event. We’ve all been impacted by this pandemic, and a great concern is the impact on students in the PPS. Pittsfield was already challenged by lagging economic development and population shifts that affect the school system’s budget and delivery of education to its more than 5,000 students. The need for support from PEF is greater, and your support of PEF ensures we can deliver. We believe that education is a human right. Teachers play a major role in influencing needed change.
