The Long Line is a quintessential yet overlooked tool to quickly train your dog as your outdoor adventure buddy! We will show you how! The Run Down: Medfield Dog Trainer, Peter Ciancarelli, will show you the simple and effective method of utilizing a long line to get your dog ready to be your off leash adventure companion. We will focus on developing a reliable recall, handler focus, and perfecting trail etiquette. All three of these being the essential building blocks of a well behaved and under control off leash dog. The objective of this workshop is not a free for all dog play session but to help owners develop skills with effective tools to feel comfortable taking their dog on outdoor adventures while developing skills to eventually have them off leash reliable. Access to the outdoor area of the brewery will be available after the training session where beer can be purchased and consumed by all over the age of 21! Pre-Event Check List: Must be at least one handler for every dog (training will not work if one owner brings multiple dogs) 15-20ft long leashes should be brought by the attendees (a few will be available for purchase if needed) Good quality E-collars very much welcomed and will be shown how to utilize safely and effectively.
