Leave your car at home and Walk, Run, Bike, Scooter, Skate or use any alternative transportation to get to school!
Wednesday, May 4th is National Ride and Roll to School Day. Palmer Elementary PTA is encouraging families to participate by leaving their personal car at home and instead find an alternative method to come to school. Even if you can't bike, walk, or roll to school, consider a carpool with a friend or neighbor to reduce personal car trips.
Participants will receive refreshments, snacks and giveaways when they arrive at school and before heading home. Registrants will be automatically entered into a drawing for even more fun prizes!
Safety is always first, so don’t forget your helmet and remember a bike lock if you plan to leave your bike or scooter at school during the day.
If you are looking for a safe route to school or a group to ride with, reach out to Corinne DePersis who can help build you a custom route and connect you with your neighbors who also plan to participate.
