A meetup about how we better inform — and include — our communities. Charlottesville is full of potential. But we can’t be the best community possible until we create space for more people to lead. Charlottesville Tomorrow, Vinegar Hill Magazine and the In My Humble Opinion talk show — together Charlottesville Inclusive Media — believe that it’s time for a change. If we are going to fulfill Charlottesville’s potential together, we have to invite more people into everything, but especially into our media, our stories and, really, our shared understanding of who we are. You’re invited to a conversation about how we tell our stories. Let’s meet Thursday, May 5th at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. 5:00pm: Doors open. "Determined" was one of the first collaborations by Charlottesville Inclusive Media. The award-winning reporting, photography, graphics and art consisted of 10 stories about the broad effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on African American communities.
