STAMFORD, CT — Three Stamford police officers were recently recognized at the Connecticut chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving's 32nd annual law enforcement recognition ceremony. Diedrich Hohn received the organization's "Top Cop" award, which recognizes "years of active work on OUI arrests, prosecutions, training, mentoring and volunteering time, and commitment to reducing the impact of impaired operation" on Connecticut roads, police said. A 25-year veteran of the department, Hohn recorded 26 OUI arrests in 2019 and serves on MADD's law enforcement council, according to police. Officer Jill Moller was also recognized for recording seven OUI arrests last year. She has been with the department for three years and is part of the department's accident reconstruction team, which investigates severe accidents in the city, police said. Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, who leads the department's traffic squad and accident reconstruction team, was recognized for his efforts in "education, training and enforcement," police said. A 24-year veteran of the department, Booth has been involved with MADD and impact panels for over 15 years, police said. "Please congratulate our officers on their awards," police said on Facebook, "and their commitment to keeping Stamford's roadways safer and free of impaired operators."
