HISTORY: Great Grandpa Robert "Bob " Ball was born November 6, 1860 in Parker County, Wheatherford, Texas as a slave. His father is thought to be Frank Ball. At the age of 5, he was brought to Guadalupe County to live. Mother Lucy Ball's census date from Kentucky 1846 showed she was an African American Slave. Grandma Lucy married John Sheffield Sr. To this union, 10 children were born: John Sheffield Charles Sheffield William "Wellman" Sheffield Mary Sheffield Ann Sheffield Maggie Sheffield Clemson Sheffield Bessie Sheffield Yeoman Sheffield This is a no cost event, but you are encouraged to bring your choice of food, drinks and lawn chairs since seating could be limited.
