STAMFORD, CT — Police have identified the man killed in a 3-car-crash on Route 59 Tuesday afternoon as a retired Stamford police officer, WTNH has reported.
Kenneth Lowman, 84, of Monroe, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Two other people remain hospitalized.
The crash occurred on Route 59 between Maple and Judd Roads in Easton, police said.
Lowman spent 22 years as Stamford police officer until he retired in 1984, according to NBC Connecticut.
First responders found someone giving CPR to Lowman, who was unresponsive. Medics and fire crews took over the efforts. Firefighters had to extricate two other motorists from their vehicles.
