The Lower East Side Ecology Center is pleased to present a day of birdwatching with Elijah Shiffer. In May, the spring bird migration is well underway, with more than 100 species passing through New York’s parks and gardens on their way to their summer grounds. Join Elijah Shiffer to observe the many species of birds stopping by Governors Island Park and its native plants for some nourishment and rest. Bring binoculars and a camera if you have them. Meet outside the LMCC's Art Center on Saturday, May 21 at 10:00 am. Try catching the boatride from 9:30am or earlier.
