About Jimmy Dean: Jimmy lives in Wilmington, NC and is known in the art world as Manix. Jimmy is a 38-year-old Culinary School Grad with an associate degree in Culinary Technology from CFCC. Three years ago, he decided to switch careers and become a professional Artist. He is now working as a full time Muralist/Street Artist for Art By Nugget. He considers himself very lucky to pursue his passion in life, which is painting murals and creating Street Art. Inspiration for "Fingerpainting" which celebrates FUN & JOY- I then about what brought me 'Joy' and that I had a lot of 'fun' doing when I was a kid, and it was Fingerpainting. My concept includes a few children ending a fingerpainting session where their imaginations are still flowing wildly. They are literally swimming in paint. The kids are having such a great time and laughing so hard that a few of them don't even notice something magic dancing above them". About Jenna Rice: Jenna Rice is an artist based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Born and raised in New England, Rice made her way south in 2007 to further her education at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. She achieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art in 2012. Rice enjoys playing with different colors, styles, and media. A versatile artist, Rice has been hired for various commissions throughout the city: including but not limited to menu boards, window paintings, and murals of all kinds. Inspiration for "Beach Breeze" which celebrates the Cape Fear Kite Festival- An annual event that draws people from around the world to fly inflatable kites on the island. This mural will be painted in the Trompe L’oeil style or realistic 3D Mural Art. Trompe L’oeil means “trick of the eye” and provides a 3D experience for the viewer. This mural will be interactive- meaning that visitors can pose in front of the mural and act as if they were actually flying a kite(s).
