EAST HAMPTON, NY — People from all across the country — including East Hampton residents — will get the chance to cast their votes and elect their representative next week.
Here's what you need to know before hitting the polls:Election day - Tuesday, Nov. 5
Time - 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Candidates
East Hampton Town:
Supervisor - Incumbent East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc (D) is being challenged by David Gruber, running on the Independence and Libertarian lines.
Superintendent of Highways: Incumbent Stephen Lynch (D) is running unopposed.
Town justice - Republican Lisa Rana is facing off against Democrat Andrew Strong.
Town council - Democrats Sylvia Overby and David Lys are running against Bonnie Brady and Betsy Bambrick (Conservative, Libertarian, Independence) for two open seats.
Town assessor: Dems Jeanne Nielsen and Jill Massa are both running for two open seats.
Trustees: Voters can choose 9 trustees candidates from the following: Francis Bock, Bill Taylor, Susan McGraw-Keber, Richard Drew, Benjamin Dollinger, Tim Garneau, John Aldred, Mike Martinsen, James Grimes, Susan Vorpahl, David Talmage, Michael Havens, Fallon Nigro, Dell Cullum, Stephen Lester, and Rona Klopman.
Suffolk County Executive - Incumbent Steven Bellone (D) is being challenged by John Kennedy Jr. (R) and Gregory-John Fischer (Lib).
Suffolk County Legislature District 2 - Incumbent Bridget Fleming (D) is being challenged by Linda Kabot (R).
