This class is designed for photographers just starting out with Lightroom Classic or those that have tried working with Lightroom Classic but had trouble getting organized or comfortable with the program. This course will help students find, sort, and gain a new level of efficiency when working with their photos. After completing the course, students will be proficient in the following:
Overview of the Lightroom Classic Interface.
The concept, setup, and backup of Lightroom Catalog.
Importing photos into Lightroom, from either the computer or digital camera.
How keywording, ratings, color labels, and metadata are used to organize files.
How to leverage the different view modes in Lightroom Classic to find the ideal/perfect image from a shoot.
Exporting of images out of Lightroom.
Discussion of proper Lightroom workflow to help improve importing, organization, and the delivery of photos for personal or professional needs.
Prerequisites: Students should have basic computer knowledge, and understand how to use the computer they are bringing to class.
Gear Requirements: Students need a laptop, with Lightroom Classic already installed before the start of class and 20 GB of free hard drive space.
This is a four-hour course with a 1 1/2 hour lunch break.
