Free to good home: We are looking for the perfect person/family for our sweet, little, old chihuahua mix Ingrid. Ingrid has been through a lot in her long life, but still has a lot of love and life in her. We adopted Ingrid 4 years ago as a ‘fospice’ foster/hospice and was told she was around 10 years old and didn’t have a long time left but we thought she was perfect, brought her home and ever since she’s been in great health (outside of cataracts and few teeth). Over the pandemic we were home much more and now that we’re out of the house most of the day we can’t take as good of care of her as she is getting older and her needs have changed. When we got her she had cataracts and her eye sight has been slowly deteriorating and she’s very close to being blind. It doesn’t get Ingrid down though and she knows her way around very well if her environment doesn’t change often. As much as we’d like to say we’re able to give her the best life, she’s lonely during the day and needs to be able to go in and out more easily and we’re not able to do that for her.
