Joyce will provide teen girls ages 12-17 with tools that help them identify the differences in a healthy and unhealthy relationship. A report by the US Department of Justice states that one in every three teen girls is a victim of physical, emotional or verbal abuse, not by a stranger but by a dating partner. That figure far exceeds rates of other types of youth violence. Empowering Teens in Relationships is a FREE monthly workshop and support group for teen girls ages 12-17 hosted by MJ Lester Group and facilitated by Joyce Lester, Marriage & Relationship Counselor. Attendees will receive teaching and tools about how to have healthy male/female relationships and address questions about specific issues they are facing.
