MILTON, MA ā Single-use plastic bags are once again on the outs in Milton.
Town officials said on Wednesday that the plastic bag ban ā which was lifted during the heart of the coronavirus health emergency ā has been reinstated in town. Grocery stores must now accept reusable bags or provide reusable plastic or paper bags at a cost.
Reusable bags are allowed again, and the Town's single-use plastic bags ban is back in effect. Residents are asked not to recycle single-use plastic bags since the material damages recycling machines.
