Stone Zoo To Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic This Weekend

STONEHAM, MA — A trip to the zoo could be a life-saving experience this weekend. The Stone Zoo will host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Sunday as part of a special promotion where everyone who gets vaccinated at the clinic will receive one free child and companion admission. The clinic is being run in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is open to all those 5 or older. No ID or proof of health insurance is required. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 149 Pond Street location. "We thank our many businesses and local partners for joining us in making vaccination available at these family-friendly locations," DPH Commissioner Margret Cooke said. "These events are a convenient way for the whole family to get up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination — and have some fun at the same time." The Stone Zoo is among many local partners working with the Vaccine Equity Initiative to help share information about the COVID-19 vaccine and increase access to vaccinations.
