Learn about the story of Fr. Bill Atkinson, OSA, and Augustinian Catholic priest from Philadelphia now on his way to Sainthood! Fr. Bill was injured in a toboggan accident when he was 18 years old. He severed his spine and never walked again after that.
Through faith, family, grace and perseverance he went on to become the first quadriplegic ever ordained a priest in the 2000 year history of our Church! Hear how Fr. Bill was a teacher, and minister to thousands with hope and joy in his life. At times we are all tempted to give up. Let’s learn from Fr. Bill and keep the faith through it all!
At this inaugural St. Paul Parish Young Adult Ministry speaker event, Father Robert P. Hagan, Prior Provincial of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova, will discuss the life of Father Bill Atkinson and his cause for sainthood in the Church.
Drink tickets will be available for purchase at the door. We will have a locally brewed beer selection and wine available. Food will be provided.
