TACOMA, WA — If you bought a lottery ticket in Tacoma last October, you may have won $10,000 without even knowing it. According to an update from the Washington Lottery Thursday, lottery officials are still waiting for the winner of a $10,000 lottery prize to come forward and claim their winnings. The lottery in question was a Match 4 drawing from October 30. The winning numbers ere 8, 10, 17, and 20. The lottery says a winning ticket was purchased that October at the Winco Foods on S 72nd St in Tacoma. Tickets are only valid for 180 days after their drawing, so the winner has until 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 to turn the ticket into to any of the Washington Lottery regional offices and claim their prize. The lottery has offices in Everett, Federal Way, Olympia, Spokane, and Yakima, all of which are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The Tacoma-area winner is one of a dozen recent lottery winners who have not claimed their prizes. Other unclaimed tickets were soled in Spokane, Seattle, Lacey and Spanaway. The Washington Lottery runs several games, including Match 4, Mega Millions, and Powerball. All told they generate a $40 million annual investment to the state's Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program.
