WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 42-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound at the Potomac Inn in Woodbridge on Thursday night, police said. Authorities said the man's injuries were not life-threatening. The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Thursday night, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. At that time, officers responded to the Potomac Inn on Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 42-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the police report. The man was flown to an area hospital, where medical personnel determined his injuries were not life-threatening. Through their investigation, officers determined that there was "an altercation" outside one of the inn's rooms, the police department said in its report. Someone shot the victim during the encounter. Authorities said multiple people were at the scene, but they did not cooperate with police officers.
