Our work environment includes: Growth opportunities Lively atmosphere On-the-job training We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to help us maintain vacation rental homes under our management. The ideal candidate for this position has prior experience in a maintenance role and is capable of working independently in remote locations throughout our beautiful mountains. This is full-time or part-time depending on the preference of the applicant. Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of residential systems (replace light bulbs, repair drawers, install door knobs, assemble furniture, troubleshoot appliances, etc) Assist in the troubleshooting of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Troubleshoot and Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Inspect homes for safety and functionality of systems Routinely serve rotation for after-hour calls during the week and on-call for weekends as part of the Property Management Team. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Residential Maintenance &/or Property Management Experience (Requires 2 years min, 4 years preferred). Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Providing general tools for carpentry, plumbing and electrical as well as reliable transportation (4x4 recommended) to perform assigned duties. Mileage is reimbursed at a rate of $0.535 per mile. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength Effective written and verbal communication Competency working within a paperless work environment (smart phone, iPad, tablets) to send/ receive communications, assignments and work documentation. Strong Customer Service skills and professional presentation Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
