ARLINGTON, MA — The Town of Arlington will host a Biodiversity Summit on Tuesday, April 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. as part of EcoWeek 2022. The event will be moderated by David Morgan, Arlington's Environmental Planner and Conservation Agent, and feature the following three speakers: Rep. Dave Rogers will speak to state legislative actionElaine Crowder of Arlington Invasives Removal ARMiJean Devine of the Mystic Charles Pollinator Pathways Group"Care about native plant restoration, pollinators, climate resiliency, and biodiversity? Join us to get the background on the basics of these topics and how these issues relate to Town's environmental goals," said the town in an event posting. "Together we'll explore regional collaboration opportunities." To register for the summit, click here. A Zoom link will be sent to you about two days in advance. Arlington's EcoWeek is a week-long series of programs and events that offer an opportunity for community members to learn about topics of environmental justice. It will be held from April 22 to May 10. Throughout EcoWeek, community and student groups and Town of Arlington departments will offer presentations, tours, and interactive events to inspire connection to and celebration of the natural world and highlight the importance of what we do at home and as a greater community to learn, act and prepare for weather, public health, and economic change that we will face as our climate changes.
