BURKE, VA — A driver fatally struck a man at Guinea Road and Olley Lane in Burke Wednesday night, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. The pedestrian, a male, was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, police said. Crash reconstruction detectives when to the scene of the fatal crash, a block southwest of Braddock Road, to investigate what happened, police said. The driver who struck the pedestrian remained on the scene. Guinea Road was closed at Olley Lane during the investigation Wednesday night, but has been reopened.
