CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — A Cape May County Man was charged with possessing and distributing child pornography, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner announced Friday. David He, 21, of Route 47, Cape May Court House, was charged with third degree crime possession of child pornography and second degree crime distribution of child pornography, authorities said. He was arrested on April 18 after an investigation from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTip, authorities said. On April 18, members of the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the New Jersey State Police, and the Middle Township Police Department executed a search warrant on a Cape May Court House residence. Authorities seized several computers and mobile devices, and discovered several child pornography images. He was charged, processed and placed in the Cape May County Correctional Facility, pending court. Sutherland thanked Homeland Security Investigations (Atlantic City - Division), and the New Jersey State Police, ICAC Task Force, for their assistance in this investigation. Sutherland advised that individuals charged with a second-degree crime are subject toa term of imprisonment of five to ten years in New Jersey State Prison, and individuals chargedwith a third-degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of three to five years in New Jersey State Prison. This investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and the (ICAC) Task Force to identify those involved in the child pornography trade.
