MILFORD, MA — The Fourth of July is going to look pretty different this year. Not only does the holiday fall on a Saturday, but many places — town and city halls in particular — are already shut down due to coronavirus.
For the most part, there are no July 4 celebrations happening in Massachusetts this weekend. But if you're planning a celebration at home, here's an idea of what stores and other services are going to be available Friday and Saturday.
Retail stores: Open at owner's discretionLiquor stores: Open in generalSupermarkets: Open, but check your local store for reduced hoursConvenience stores: Open in generalBars: Bars are closed until at least phase 4, but ones with restaurants attached will likely be open. Call ahead first. Banks: Most will be closed Friday and Saturday, but check your local branch ahead of time.
