ANNAPOLIS, MD — A taxi passenger was shot recently while riding through Annapolis, county police announced. Officers said the uninjured driver immediately took the man to the nearby Anne Arundel Medical Center. Authorities expect the 22-year-old victim to survive. The shooting happened Sunday around 12:40 a.m. Several bullets hit the victim and the taxi while they were on Hearne Road approaching Riva Road, a press release said. That's in the neighborhood of Parole, which is located in the county just outside the limits of the City of Annapolis. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating. Detectives asked anybody with information on the assault to call (410) 222-1960. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700. Have a story idea?
