SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon Valley High School is alerting the community to take note of a simulated car crash April 26 at the school. The school is hosting Every 15 Minutes, a program where students show a mock fatal DUI traffic collision. "Don't be alarmed," the school said. "This is a dramatization of an accident as a learning experience for the students! First responders treat the collision as a real-life incident and will be on the scene. The school said there will be many different agencies involved and a helicopter. There are no scheduled traffic delays or street closures. An assembly following the simulated crash is scheduled for April 27. Every 15 Minutes is a program aimed at teaching young adults the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The program gets its name from the frequency at which a person is killed in an alcohol or drug-related collision in the country.
