No, there was not. But, then, that was the final football game of the year and didn't factor into future contests. In San Francisco, where Matt Haney this week similarly trounced David Campos for a spot in the Assembly, there are two more elections this year alone. There are some factors that can be written off as unique to this week's election — an extremely low-turnout affair, dominated by older voters, and featuring two very particular candidates.
