MILFORD, MA —Towns and cities across MetroWest will get slices of a $20 million road funding boost announced Monday by state officials. The money comes out of the state's Chapter 90 program, which reimburses cities and towns for a huge array of transportation expenses — everything from buying streetlights to designing roadway improvements.
The extra $20 million boosts the $200 million Gov. Charlie Baker announced for Chapter 90 projects this summer. Under the program, cities and towns can submit reimbursement requests to the state for qualifying expenses related to road projects.
