Press release from the St. Louis County Government: April 20, 2022 ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (April 20, 2022) - The full results from St. Louis County's Community Needs Survey are now available online through an interactive dashboard that allows the public to view data broken down by district and categories. In collaboration with the County Council, County Executive Dr. Sam Page's office hosted seven town halls to encourage the community to fill out the survey and voice how best to use $83 million in federal relief funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). In total, 3,346 people took the survey. "Thanks to everyone who participated in the town halls and who filled out the surveys. We hear you and we appreciate your commitment to making St. Louis County a better place for everyone," said Dr. Page. On Monday, Dr. Page shared preliminary results from the Community Needs Survey. The top three areas of priority were healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Based on the survey results, Dr. Page's office has put together recommendations on how these funds could be invested to reflect the community's priorities. Some of those proposals include: Investing $7.5 million to support small businesses. Investing $5 million into the MET Center in Wellston to support workforce development. Investing $15 million in repairing and maintaining subdivision roads in unincorporated areas that are excluded from other federal funding. Those full recommendations can be viewed here.
