MILFORD, MA — With the polls closed, towns and cities across Massachusetts are reporting unofficial results in key local, state and federal races. About 78 percent of registered Milford voters turned out in 2020. Voters were deciding two key local races: the 4th Congressional District race to replace outgoing U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III, and the state Senate race between incumbent Republican Ryan Fattman and Milford Democrat Christine Crean. The Associated Press declared Fattman the winner early Wednesday morning with Crean trailing by about 20 points. Fattman won in every town in his Worcester and Norfolk district, but Crean nearly matched him in Milford and Southbridge. In Milford, Crean earned 6,976 votes to Fattman's 7,093, according to the AP. Democratic Newton Councilor Jake Auchincloss declared victory in the 4th Congressional District race at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
