NORTHBROOK, IL — Glenbrook North is one of the best public high schools in the state and in the United States, according to recently released rankings. Niche.com announced its 2022 rankings of the best public high schools in the country. GBN is ranked No. 7 in Illinois and No. 48 in the United States. According to Niche, GBN has 2,040 students in grades 9-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. With regard to state test scores, 74 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 72 percent in reading.
