97 Maple School Students To Be Recognized For President's Award

NORTHBROOK, IL — This school year, Maple School will again recognize eighth-grade students who will be receiving the President's Award for Educational Excellence. This year marks the 39th anniversary for this extraordinary program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. This award is designed to recognize students who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher through sixth, seventh, and the first two trimesters of eighth grade at Maple School. Additionally, the student must also have received recommendations by a teacher and second staff member, according to Northrook/Glenview School District 30. In recognition of these high-achieving students, Maple School will host an evening celebration at 7 p.m. May 12. During this event, guest speakers who have contributed to our students' successes at Maple School will share their perspective on learning and life.
