JOLIET, IL — A 47-year-old man from Burr Ridge was arrested by Joliet police on Thursday afternoon after he showed up at a house in Joliet carrying his .380 handgun. Officers called to the 2100 block of Ingalls Avenue hauled away Brian Stuart in handcuffs.
He was booked into the Will County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault.
Joliet officers sped to Ingalls Avenue at 3 p.m. for a report of a man with a gun.
"Stuart pulled the handgun from his waistband and began threatening the homeowner, who was in the driveway," police spokesman Dwayne English announced.
According to Joliet police, Stuart had been involved in a domestic disturbance with a woman who knows the homeowner on Ingalls Avenue, and the domestic disturbance happened in another town.
"Officers placed Stuart into custody without incident and recovered the loaded handgun in his vehicle," English stated.
