MAPLE GROVE, MN — Maple Grove will not be getting a second Hy-Vee store after all, as the grocery chain recently announced plans to focus on larger stores and expanding its geographic footprint, according to reports. Corporate officials said Monday that the chain will sell land it owns in Maple Grove, Chaska, Blaine, West. St Paul and Farmington, parcels it bought in recent years as it planned to open smaller stores throughout the region, the Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports. Hy-Vee opened its first Maple Grove store in 2019 at 18755 70th Way N. and previously planned to put another store near Highway 610 and Maple Grove Parkway, CCX Media reported.
