I’m looking for a suitable family to rehome my white bellied caique to, preferably to someone who has handled larger birds and understands their behaviors. I want him to go to a home who can devote plenty of time to him. He is seven years old, loves women and young children, but can be very moody with men and teenagers. It takes him a while to warm up to men especially, but I would be happy to discuss more about his behaviors. I will rehome him with his cage, perches, toys, and whatever I have remaining of his food and treats. He enjoys large fruits and vegetables (which he tends to like destroying more than eating), showering, grumbling like an old man, and especially loves soft clothing and towels. If you’re wearing his favorite pants, he won’t leave you alone. When it’s getting later in the evening, he is more than content laying on your chest or in a blanket with you to watch TV. I would feel more comfortable rehoming him to someone willing to meet him before coming to the decision of taking him in, especially if there are men in your household. I am requesting a rehoming fee of $1800 for him and all of his belongings, but I am willing to negotiate a little to the right home.
