Wayne State University – Center for Urban Studies is seeking AmeriCorps members to fill Full-time and Part-time positions within AmeriCorps Urban Safety (AMUS) Program. The goal of the AMUS Program is to increase public safety and decrease victimization in targeted neighborhoods throughout the City of Detroit. Each AMUS member will participate in activities to improve neighborhood guardianship through community organizing to help residents form block clubs and other networks to build community, and reduce victim attractiveness and susceptibility.
Perfect for high school and college students looking to earn up to 2000 dollars a month and an educational award up to 4400 dollars per term while networking and engaging in your community.
