Job Summary The Maintenance Director is responsible for and oversees all maintenance, repair, and upkeep activities for the Community and 4 surrounding businesses. This position is also responsible for the proper operation of all equipment, mechanical systems and ground systems. This position requires good organizational and prioritizing skills to ensure that all interior and exterior maintenance represents the quality image the Community is portraying. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Preventative Maintenance • Rent-ready vacant apartments at all times • Safety and Compliance Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience as maintenance supervisor in multi-residence or similar setting preferred. • Must have basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in the community. Physical Demands • Be physically capable of working in confined areas. • Occasionally the employee may be required to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., Reach at, below or above shoulder height, Stoop, Push and/or Pull, Twist, Bend, Sit, Stand, and Walk.
