Beginning to intermediate acoustic guitar & drummer

Description

Hey guys, beginning to intermediate level both acoustic guitar and drummer. I am looking for fellow players to jam with. Age not too important as long as you have reliable transportation. I have a comfortable place to play in El Cajon area. On acoustic guitar, I just want to play more and I think that jamming with someone will help that along. I am not a tab or lead player at all. I can only play rhythm. I have a nice older 70's Japanese Lyle six string with a pick up installed and an amp. We don't have to use amps if you don't want to. I'm flexible there. I'm one of those players who has played guitar for many years, but not seriously/consistently enough to advance the way I'd have liked. I have a very good grasp of all the basic chords (A B C D E F G Am Bm Dm Em A7 Gm D7 and more), pretty darn good tempo and ok basic strumming patterns. I can use a capo when asked for in the song. I can navigate chord changes pretty well if the chords aren't new to me. I can tune my guitar well. I just need practice..... lots of practice. I'm ok with another acoustic guy or guys that can play rhythm or likes more of the lead or picking style. Group play (3 or ?) would be fun too. I also have mics and amps should we need them. I already know about 10 to 14 cover songs pretty well and I'm trying to work on that to expand. Cover songs is where I'm at right now and basically want to focus. Original music can be ok if we collaborate together on some songs after we meet, but I'm not interested in heavy coverage of almost all original music. A sprinkling is fine. I hope you appreciate that when reading my post. I'm an older guy (young at heart), but love a large variety of 70's 80's 90's 2000 music. Classic rock, some newer rock, classic country, some newer country, some pop, maybe some disco. R&B would work. Not interested in classical, folk, Rockabilly or Jazz. I know that musicians are supposed to be open to anything. I appreciate all music to some degree. My argument currently in my stage of my life is this. I'm wanting to keep my focus. I want to look forward to the material we cover. I'm wanting to advance. If the material is pretty challenging or not of high interest, I'll lose my desire to keep playing. I know this because of past experience. What we decide to cover should be chosen by all parties and all agreeing it will be fun and we all feel we can do it. The material will also hopefully be upbeat and fun for our friends and family to listen to should we decide preform for them. There is a very large selection of songs to pic from the genre and types I've listed. Btw.... An acoustic Bassist would be a neat fit too! As for Drums, I'm open to sitting on my acoustic drum kit and jamming to songs as well. The jenre will be pretty much the same as above. I'm better on drums than guitar, but want to advance on both. I've also played drums all my life and haven't stayed with it on a serious level. I'm a natural drummer with no stage experience. I have pretty good pocket skills. Basic fills are no problem. I'm Lower level on technical advanced fills. Please let me know if you have any interest in chatting about furthering some plans to jam it out. Hopefully it's ok that I'm being very specific about what I'm looking for. I'm hoping to find a long term thing with one or more mucisians to get decent at some songs and maybe preform for family and friends down the road. Maybe back yard BBQ' and things like that. Or, just play more is fine too.
