The following was submitted by Melrose faith leaders: As faith leaders from many traditions, we are concerned for the health of our democracy. Each person has a voice within our country, and it is imperative that those voices are heard and those votes are counted. Our traditions all view human dignity as a core value. We recognize that a divine spark resides within everyone. No one is "more worthy" or "less worthy" in the eyes of our Creator. Each of us is entitled to the same rights and agency, the same opportunity to shape our own future and the future of our society. We know that the results of this election may take time. Therefore, we pray that our country has the patience to make sure that every vote is counted, and that our leadership respects the sanctity of this right.
