MELROSE, MA — Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden got significantly more support here than Hillary Clinton did in 2016, while President Trump appears to have bled out some supporters.
Biden got 12,847 votes in Melrose this election — that's 2,160 more than Clinton got. Biden's number could still grow as outstanding mail-in ballots show up the next couple days.
Trump got 4,382 votes this year according to unofficial results. In 2016, he got 4,508.
All in all, Biden got 72 percent of the vote to Clinton's 60, while Trump got fell off from nearly 32 percent to 25 percent.
