Live Storytime here at The Urban Writers Room invites real people with real stories access to a unique opportunity of sharing their story with TV, Film and Content Creators. ​ All stories are welcomed for Storytime: Drama: Family - Relationship - Professional - Street - Legal Resolved Cases - Gentrification Action: Feuds - Chases - Fights - Robberies - Disputes - Births - Death Professional: Accomplishments - Act of Service - Life Changing Opportunities - Mentorship - From Nothing to Something - Employee/Employer Thriller/Fantasy: Fairies - Ghost - Spirits - Tales - Wives Tales - Conspiracies Entertainment: Music Industry Stories - Dancers - Adult Entertainers - Production - Celebrity People: Culture - Colorism - Gentrification - Black Love - Dishonesty - Loyalty/Loyalty Gone Wrong The Writers Room Storytime is intended to provide writer's block inspiration for visionaries who may be in need of a character, theme or creative idea. Each story will receive equal opportunity of being pitched and discussed in the Creative Room amongst Writers for potential short film development. ​ What to Expect: - Real names and identities are NOT to be used when telling your story, be sure you prepare false names in advance. - Each guest speaker will receive 30 minutes with an additional 15 minute for Q&A. - If the story gets picked up for a Short Film, the storyteller may be required to join (1) Private Writers Room session. ​- This is a non-compensated role, 100% contribution. Storytellers will receive producer credit and if the story gets picked up for development, Storytellers will be compensated for story idea. *Ask about Anonymous Storytime.
