Job Summary: Our ideal candidate has experience handling the dropping & hooking of trailers, maneuvering and dumping trailers using a manual transmission semi-truck within the confines of the facility’s yard. Also maintaining inventories of full and empty trailers and performing daily lot checks. The company will provide on the job training for the operation of the tipper unit. Work Schedule: • Current work schedule is 7am to 3:30pm – Monday thru Friday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures. • Continually mount and dismount the equipment being operated. • Requires sure footing and balance due to the potential of a slick environment. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment. • Routine rinsing and lining of trailer equipment. • Previous experience with operating tractor trailer equipment is required. • Ability to operate a manual transmission is required. • Valid Class A CDL and DOT physical card a plus, but not required. • Operate a forklift, skid loader, and miscellaneous equipment as needed to complete duties. • Maintain your work areas and facilities properly. • Situational awareness is a must do when working around heavy equipment and machinery (good vision and hearing) Compensation and Benefits: We offer a generous benefits package including: • 401(k) plan with company match • Health Insurance • Dental and Vision insurance available • Flexible Spending Accounts • Paid Vacation and Holidays • Safety Bonus Eligible Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED degree with related experience. • You must have reliable transportation to be available for your scheduled work hours. • Minimum three verifiable personal references. Physical Demands and Requirements: This job can be physically strenuous from time to time. You will be expected to be able to work in tight and or confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push and pull various tools and equipment. You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more. This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and work at varying heights from time to time. The handling of dry materials can create a dusty environment from time to time. Majority of the shift is spent on one’s feet moving in and around the work area. Conditions reflect the current season in and around the plant. Must be comfortable with a drug screen and background check. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $19.50 to $22.50 /hour – Commensurate on Experience Experience: • Truck/Trailer Experience: 3 years (Preferred) • Class A CDL Experience is a Plus • Forklift/Skid loader Experience is a Plus
